Let Girls Be Girls Project – Programme Highlights Capacity Building for Educators and Girls’ Coordinators
Under the LetGirlsBeGirls Project, implemented by Renel Ghana Foundation in partnership with Mundo Cooperante, four Girls’ Coordinators and four teachers from Wungu TI, Wungu A, Wulugu Ranch, and Wulugu Zaami JHS participated in a two‑day capacity‑building training. The sessions strengthened participants’ knowledge and skills to better support adolescent girls in schools and promote safe, inclusive learning environments.
Purpose
- Equip educators and coordinators with practical knowledge on adolescent health and rights.
- Break stigma and myths around menstruation and personal hygiene.
- Promote SRHR awareness and empower girls to make informed choices.
- Strengthen safeguarding systems against GBV and child rights violations.
- Build confidence and self‑esteem among adolescent girls through supportive school practices.

- Menstrual cycle basics and safe hygiene practices.
- Addressing stigma and myths around menstruation.
- Personal hygiene and body autonomy.
- Sexual and Reproductive Health and Rights (SRHR) for adolescent girls.
- Gender‑Based Violence (GBV): types, warning signs, and reporting pathways.
