Strategic Stakeholder Engagement
As part of the Let Girls Be Girls Project, Renel Ghana Foundation, in partnership with Mundo Cooperante under the TheRightToBeAGirl programme, convened a strategic stakeholder engagement with key education and community actors.
Participants included School Heads, District Girl Child Coordinators, Unit Committees, and School Improvement Support Officers (SISOs). Together, stakeholders worked to identify and dismantle barriers limiting girls’ access to quality education.
Discussions and actions focused on three core pillars:
- Improving menstrual health and WASH through pad banks, upgraded facilities, and school-based FLOW Clubs
- Supporting girls’ retention in school by addressing SRHR-related barriers and facilitating reintegration
- Creating safe spaces for girls to share their experiences, challenges, and aspirations without fear
At the heart of this engagement was listening—centering girls’ voices and collaborating with schools to create safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environments.
This activity was implemented with funding support from Mundo Cooperante under the Right to Be a Girl Project.
