With funding support from Mundo Cooperante under their The Right To Be a Girl Program, Renel Ghana Foundation convened an inception meeting for the Let Girls Be Girls Project at the West Mamprusi Education Directorate Conference Room.
The meeting brought together key stakeholders, including traditional and religious leaders, the Regional Gender Unit (Ministry of Gender, Children and Social Protection), the Ghana Education Service Girls’ Education Unit, Assembly Members, the Department of Social Welfare, Ghana Health Service representatives, school tutors, students, and community-based organizations.

Participants were drawn from Wulugu, Wungu, Sakogu, and Langbinsi across the West and East Mamprusi Municipalities. The meeting introduced the project’s objectives, which include:
- Ending child marriage and promoting girls’ education
- Increasing the identification of girls at risk of forced marriage by 30%
- Strengthening access to multisectoral support services for survivors
The strong institutional presence demonstrated broad commitment and laid a solid foundation for successful project implementation.
