International Day of Education 2025 – Promoting Safe & Inclusive Learning in the Digital Age
Renel Ghana Foundation joined the global community to mark the 2025 International Day of Education, celebrated under the theme “AI and Education: Harnessing Girls’ Innovation in the Age of AI.” In partnership with the Adenta Municipal Education Directorate, we engaged seventy brilliant female students from Sowadin Junior High School, guiding them to explore the power of artificial intelligence in a safe and meaningful way.
The students amazed us with their creativity — from designing simple learning platforms to crafting beautiful digital and physical artefacts. One student stood out with her unique dress design, earning her an electric sewing machine from Renel Ghana Foundation to support her dream of becoming a fashion designer.
While AI offers incredible opportunities, we also used the day to educate students on its risks — including cyberbullying, data privacy concerns, and over‑dependence on technology. Through our Child Safeguarding Policy, we ensured that every activity protected the dignity and safety of the children involved.
This celebration reaffirmed our commitment to promoting quality, inclusive, and safe education for every child in Ghana.
